Is it Christmastime Already?

Jessica hummed to herself. She was showing Spring and Josefina her dance routine and she didn’t want to mess up. Her feet already knew the steps, so it was pretty easy.

She finished and realized she had been closing her eyes the whole time. She opened them to see Spring and Josefina smiling.

“That was pretty good!” Spring commented.

Jessica closed her eyes again and curtsied to an imaginary crowd.

Just then, a door in the house slammed and aloud, voice started singing a Christmas song, and the sound came floating down the hallway. Jessica’s eyes popped open and she shrieked. “Good grief! Why does she keep following me everywhere! Abandon ship!” Jessica fled from the room.

Josefina and Spring watched her leave quickly. “What was that all about?” Josefina mused aloud.

Spring shook her head. “How should I know? She’s probably being dramatic.” The voice came closer and closer until it stopped right outside of the door. Then the door flew open.

Bethany raced into the room, grinning mischievously, and belted out in song. “JINGLE BELLS! JINGLE BELLS! JINGLE ALL THE—– Wait, where’s Jessica, she’s supposed to be here.”

Josefina shrugged. “She ran off when she heard you singing.”

Bethany’s grin grew wider. “Which way did she go?”

“She ran towards her room, I think.” Spring replied. “Anyway, what in the world are you doing?”

“It’s Christmastime again!” Bethany fluttered her eyelashes. “I’ve already picked out my dress and everything! You should buy a dress too before they’re sold out. Christmas is just around the corner, you know.” She paused for a moment to squeeze Spring’s cheek playfully. “Blue would go great with your eyes.” Then she took off towards the door leading to Jessica’s bedroom.

Bethany stopped on her way out. “If you see Jessica, tell her I’ve been writing a special song just for her.” Then she grinned her mischievous grin and closed the door.

Spring and Josefina could still hear Bethany humming the tune of Frosty the Snowman, even with the door closed.

“Weird.” Spring said, shaking her head. “It doesn’t seem like Christmastime.”

“You know, a blue dress would really would go well with your eyes.” Josefina stated.

Spring groaned. She didn’t care about fashionable holiday dresses. “Don’t you start on me too!”

“I was just kidding.” Josefina laughed.

Spring shook her head. “I wonder how Bethany and Jessica are getting along.”

They heard Bethany’s voice ringing through the house followed by a shriek of annoyance.

“Do you think we should ask Bethany to stop?” Josefina asked. She never wanted to hurt her sisters.

“The thought never crossed my mind.” Spring said, trying to keep from smiling. “Ok, yes. We should. I wonder which way she went.”

Then the two girls set off to find their crazy sister.

I can’t believe time passed by so fast! Christmas is just around the corner, as Bethany stated. :)

P.S.  It has been really cloudy and cold lately, which explains the dark photos, but I did the best I could.

    • Well, it would be fun to receive one, but I think it’s more fun for me to be able to save up. ;) Then the doll is more special to me because I worked hard for it.

I haven’t done any tutorials on Spring’s hair, but maybe I could sometime. :)

  1. It’s true that you take better care of things you buy yourself. ;)
I would love if if you or your sister did a tutorial on curling your dolls hair! :)

  2. I have two daughters so they tease each other sometimes. I know what you mean about clouds and darker photos. Our doll space is in our basement and the photos I take there are a challenge. Cute photos and story line.
