Some Important News..

Hey! I have some important news to share today. :)

I know Mother’s Day has already passed, but I think mothers should be celebrated all the time. Especially my mom.

My mom is amazing. She does so many things for me and supports me in all the ways that she can even when her life is crazy. Trust me. It IS.

She helps me with my makeup.

She even makes dinner for me when she has a billion other things to do.

Most importantly of all, my mom loves me.

A lot of you probably don’t know this, but my mom has stage IV breast cancer and has been battling it for several years now. Currently she is getting integrative treatment in Arizona that have been shown to work effectively for the cancer my mom has. We are thankful she is able to get this treatment.

This treatment, however, is NOT covered by insurance and is very expensive. We are trusting God to work everything out. My mom and I worked together to start a Bonfire campaign online, where you can purchase a t-shirt with an all exclusive design (made by yours truly).

The shirts state, “I will make my mountains into roads,” which is taken from Isaiah 49:11. It tells us that though in life we may have large mountains blocking our path, but with the Lord’s help, we will be able to turn those mountains, or problems, into roads to get to a better place.  I believe God will use our struggles for his good.

Buying shirts gets you a shirt, and supports us as well.  It would mean the world to me if you bought a shirt to support my mom. I love her so much and know that God has healing in store for her. Even if you do not choose to purchase a shirt, we would appreciate it if you could pray for us. 💗

Matthew 18:20 – “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Every other week my mom leaves to go get cancer treatments in Arizona. She has to leave her family to get better. It’s really hard for her, especially since this week she just started a new protocol, and it doesn’t make her feel well.  I’m sure she would appreciate a kind note in the comments. ;)

To my mom,

Thank you for everything you do for me. I wouldn’t be who I am without you. :)

I love you so much.

Love,

American Girl Doll Artist

  10. I’m so sorry to hear about your mom (I saw it on Facebook earlier because of Jaclynn, but didn’t know much more), cancer is so hard and steals so much from everyone. I’ll keep your family in my prayers, thank goodness the treatments seem to be working!

  11. OH. MY. GOSH. This is so sweet! I know exactly how you feel. My best friend Maine died from cancer when we were both very young. It was very heartbreaking, but now I am still in touch with her sisters, Taylor, Misty, and Persephone. I will try to get my mom to buy a shirt for me and her! She looooves to by shirts that represent good causes 😉 ❤️ I am totally inspired to do something like this for my mom! I made her a Z themed one of things she loves. Bye!

  12. Hi American Girl Doll Artist!
I’m so, so sorry that your mom has cancer! :( I love my mom soooooo much and can’t even imagine how hard it would be if she were sick, so I’m sure this must be really challenging for you. :( Again I’m sorry. ** Sends lots of hugs! ** (*And hopes you don’t think I’m too strange for sending you hugs when you don’t even know me! Lol! *) I really hope the treatment that your mom is receiving helps her to heal quickly! And I will definitely keep you, your mom, and your family in my prayers!!!!

  13. You are so strong! I know what you’re going through, my mom had Stage 1 Breast Cancer twice, but she fought. She fought because she cared about me, and your mom fights because she cares about you. Stay strong, you guys are in my prayers. I will try to buy a shirt, but I don’t know if I can. I’ll try my best.

  16. I pray for you every day and prayed for your mom just now! I admire you so much and you are such a brave and amazing person — I can’t even imagine how brave and amazing your mom is, too. She’s raised such an epic daughter I really look up to. <3 It's so refreshing to see people who trust God through the fire and believe in His eternally awesome goodness despite what circumstances look like. God is so good and has delivered you guys through so much already! I'm praying for your mom, you, and your family daily now. You're totally welcome to email me with any special prayer requests or just anything at all — I hate cancer with a burning passion and completely know what it's like to battle illness. You guys are awesome! Let me know if there's anything I can pray for or anything. God is so good. ❤️❤️❤️
