GOTY 2016 has a connection to Brazil, rainforests and possibly the Olympics.

I am waiting to find out more about her story line.. It doesn’t seem all that interesting to me yet.
Yes! I don’t like the next GOTY!! So far…. I’ll wait until I see the 18″ doll to make a decision… I really hope I don’t like her so I can give a little more love to Kanani and Kaya. They have barely anything from their collections.

I agree with you, AGdollartist. I don’t really like anything I’ve seen and heard about GOTY 2016. I probably won’t buy her unless she’s REALLY pretty. The same goes for her collection. But I think it would be cool if she went to visit the Olympics. That could be one of the reasons why she goes to Brazil. :)

I can’t believe you don’t like her! Have you changed your mind? though different people like different dolls!
I don’t really know. I hope I don’t, because I’d love to focus on collecting Kaya’s food and horses. Though there have been rumors about her looking like Kanani, and I love darker skinned dolls. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see the 18″ doll.
I have seen auditions for GOTY16 and now book descriptions. The two don’t seem connected but maybe the movie is about books 1 and 2. What do you think?
I’m not sure… Usually the movie is slightly different from the books.
Yeah, the auditions seem so much better to me in my opinion. I loved how (SPOILER ALERT) she had an older brother that she was close to and how he was working under cover and got taken captive. It seemed like such a neat idea for Lea to go on an adventure to find him :)

I’ve seen pictures of the 18″ doll, and I think she is beautiful. She has the same skin tone as Kanani. :D I probably will not buy her, though, just because I’m not as into dolls as I used to be and will probably only get one more doll before my AG collection stops adding new additions. ;)

The premise for “GOTY Dives In” is absolutely terrible. I think they should have used the captive brother plot for the first book. It would show the character as strong and empowering, not vulnerable. While that isn’t necessarily a bad trait, it’s not that interesting. I do like though that the main themes for her books are nature, science, travel and adventure.
