Review: Kit’s Desk

For Christmas, Catlover02 and I got Kit’s Desk from our grandma (thank you!). Even though it’s from another time period, I think it’s pretty timeless and it’s a great furniture piece for our dollhouse. 🙂

Kit’s desk set is $100. It includes 1 desk and 1 chair.

Let’s start with the chair. The chair is made of wood and metal, and it can spin smoothly around.

Here’s the base.

KitsDesk-4Here’s what makes the chair spin around. I don’t how much of this is actually used, but it could just be for the historical aspect.

It is a little hard for dolls to sit up straight when sitting all the back in the chair, because there is no armrests to hold them in. Isabelle prefers to sit on the edge.

The chair is great quality. I can’t see it breaking anytime soon. It’s a piece you can use as a prop for many stories and photoshoots.

Next is the desk. The desk is also made of wood. It’s fantastic quality.

The top part comes down to close the desk. it doesn’t go all the way up, but that’s just how it’s made.

Here’s what it looks like when it’s all the way down. It’s fairly easy to move up and down.

Inside the desk are some shelves for storing all your dolls’ knick-knacks!

The desk comes with one small drawer to be used in the top part.

It can fit in the slot below it too.

Catlover02 puts her doll pencils in the drawer. It’s the perfect size for them.

The lower half of the desk has 2 drawers.

I’m not sure what this is called, but I think you rest your arm on it when writing. I’m not sure. It can pull out though.

Both of the drawers can open. Catlover02 tried to fit the older mini doll books in the drawer, but they were too wide and had to go in diagonally. Only 1 book could fit in the drawer that way. However, 4 of the newer mini doll books can fit in a drawer because they’re smaller.

The back view.

Isabelle is standing next to the desk to show how tall it is compared to a doll.

Our dolls love Kit’s desk! The chair is adorable and the desk can be used for so many things! Plus, the entire set is great quality. It looks super cute our dollhouse and I love how it can store looks of mini trinkets. 🙂

Even though I didn’t buy this, I do think it’s worth the $100, because of the working drawers, the spinning chair, and the wood that was used for almost everything.

I rate Kit’s Desk 5 out of 5 stars!

Great review! Even though I already have this, I love to hear your opinions 🙂 Also, I was looking at an old AG catalogue from 2011, and back then the desk was only 70$! Seriously AG, 30$ increase in about 5 years!

  7. Cool, I had no idea that the desk could be closed up when you’re not using it. Thanks for the review! 🙂
