Nashville Travels with Grace

Hey there! It’s me, Grace! I haven’t been on the blog for such a long time, but it feels great to be back!

Last month I did some traveling in Nashville over a holiday weekend, and I wanted to share my adventures (and photos) with you! I had an amazing time walking around and visiting new places.

You know I always have to visit a bakery whenever I visit a new city, and Nashville’s bakeries did not disappoint! One bakery I visited even had an entire gluten-free and vegan section. I wish Alexis was with me, she would have loved it!

If you didn’t know, Alexis is our newest sister here at Small Dolls in a Big World! You should head to the “Meet the Dolls” page to read her profile if you haven’t already. :)

I planned to walk from my hotel in downtown Nashville to Centennial Park, and along the way I passed by a super cute donut shop! The whole place was World War II themed, decorated with vintage radios, American flags and pictures of eagles. The donuts were delicious too!

When I got to the park, I made sure to listen to “invisible string” by Taylor Swift while I was there, because it mentions Centennial Park. Such a good song!

Here’s a photo I took at the Parthenon replica right by Centennial Park. I was overwhelmed by the detail and the size. It was truly incredible. Not as great as the Eiffel Tower of course, but beautiful nonetheless.

After Centennial Park, I took an Uber and did a little shopping at American Girl Nashville. I found a super cute pair of earrings that will go perfectly with my favorite polka dotted skirt! I can’t wait to wear them this spring.

Here’s a photo I took on the plane ride home. I was really sad to leave behind all the neat places I discovered, but I missed my family.

I had a great time in the city and can’t wait to go back! Maybe next time I’ll bring one of my sisters. I’m sure we’d have the best time ever.

Let me know in the comments: what is your favorite place to visit? Mine is Paris!

xoxo Grace

  1. I love Nashville! Many pawn shops showcasing guitars for sale. Reminds one of the broken hearts that left the city. Buildings with recording studio names in several locations. The Tennessee State Museum is so informative. I took a city tour durning the day. for architect. Honky Tonks for dinner. So much fun.

  2. Do you see yourself getting Kira or Corinne? I have both and they are very different but are really good friends! Can you make another Q&A post a recently watched your old one and thought it would be cool if you made another! By the way I just read the whole guiding compass series it was the best!
