Hi, guys! Have you ever been waiting for a package, and it seems to take forever to arrive? Because that’s exactly how I felt this morning. I was on pins and needles, browsing on my laptop and overall just trying to waste time, when I heard Renae shout from the other end of the house. “Someone’s here!”
I’ve noticed she seems to have an uncanny knack for knowing the exact moment someone’s at our door. She told me she can sense his presence, but I know that she only knows when someone arrives because she spends half her time staring out the window daydreaming. 😏
Anyways, I was especially excited today, because my puppy was supposed to be dropped off by the orphanage today! 😁 For some reason, they didn’t want to have to pay for extra luggage on the plane and they said they would just drive him out to my new house when they got the chance.
So I waited.
Then they emailed me last night and announced he would be arriving tomorrow! I was so excited I almost threw my laptop into the air! 😅 (Which would have been very, very disastrous for the thousands of files I have on there…)
Of course, my new sisters wondered what my outburst was about and I got to tell them all about my cute little Yuki, all alone in Wisconsin. He’s a purebred Kishu puppy and just a bundle of sweetness and fluff! I couldn’t wait for them to meet him!
And now he was here! I set down my laptop, slid off the daybed and rushed down the hall, skating down the tile hall on my socks shrieking, “MY PUPPY’S HERE!!!!” I may or may not have been a little hyper after that coffee I drank this morning… 😅
But the first thing I saw was not my adorable ball of fuzz. I saw a pile of cardboard boxes stacked up almost as tall as me.
They must have been something for Mom’s family. I sighed and started closing the door, but then I heard a high-pitched whine coming from behind the boxes. Yuki was here!
Quickly, I shoved the boxes out of the doorway and saw Yuki, all cooped up in a kennel.
He saw me and immediately began whining and scratching as the gray mesh that was keeping him from knocking me off my feet.
I lugged the heavy carrier indoors and into the bedroom before unzipping the opening. He slipped out, and immediately his big pink tongue was all over my face.
I laughed and hugged him, burying my face into his snowflake-white fur. He just stood there, panting softly and staring at me with those deep black eyes.
It felt good to have my baby back.

Note from Catlover02:
So, Nessa finally got her dog back! I decided to rename Coconut as Yuki and change the breed to a Japanese breed, a Kishu Inu, as this version of Coconut looks nothing like a Westie. 😁
Do you ever miss your dog? ‘Cause I know I sure do, even if she likes to bite my ankles. Yep, love you too, Puppers. 😒 😂 😂
