Packing Up – A Photostory

“I was just thinking,” Isabelle said to Kanani, “That since Mom is so busy with school and packing, that we should try to pack some of our stuff ourselves!”

“That’s a great idea!” Kanani said, “Let’s start right away.”

“What are you doing?”  A head popped up in between them.

“Augh!” Isabelle exclaimed, surprised.

It was Jamie. But Jamie was wearing sunglasses, which made her all the more prone to scare someone.

“You look like a spy,” Kanani said, laughing. “What are you doing?”

“Um, spying on you!” Jamie replied, “Uh, I mean…”

“We’re going to start packing our stuff!” Isabelle told her.

“Packing?” Jamie repeated, “Um, I have a fashion meeting to go to, see you later!” She raced out the door.

Kanani shook her head, “I knew it was coming!”

“Packing?” Grace asked, coming up from behind. “We can help. What do you want us to do?”

“First we have to go get some boxes. Mom kept some old AG boxes in her closet.” Isabelle said.

“Great!” Grace said, “Let’s go get them.”

Sarah carried the “Welcome Gifts” box, Kanani had the “Boho Beachy Swimsuit” box, and Grace? Well, she had to carry her “Baking Set” box.

When they had fetched all the boxes, Grace glanced over at the pile and saw that a majority of them were from her collection. She grinned sheepishly.

Grace began packing up her Sightseeing Outfit. She carefully folded the skirt and tucked it into the box.

When she was done, Grace closed the lid. “All finished!” She announced, “What’s next?”

“Well, why don’t you go pack your baking accessories?” Kanani suggested, “We’ll tackle the rest of the clothing.”

“Okay,” Grace shrugged, hauling the huge box across the room to the bakery.

Isabelle packed up Grace’s Travel Coat.

After a little while, Grace came back with the Baking Accessories in their  box.

“Grace, I need your beret, I’m packing the Welcome Gifts.” Kanani called.

“Aw, rats!” Grace said, disappointed.

Kanani giggled, “It’s not like you won’t see it again!”

“Grace, do we have a box for this outfit?” Sarah asked, holding up a blue shirt.

“No, I don’t think Mom saved that one…” Grace said.

“Hey guys! I found one more box in the closet to use!” Isabelle announced. She set the box on the table and opened it up. “Wait a minute, there’s something in here…”

Grace quickly covered Isabelle’s eyes.

“Grace? What are you doing?” Isabelle asked.

Moving12“That’s one of our presents for Christmas!” Grace whispered.

“Oh.” Isabelle replied. “Oops.” She was careful not to look as she closed the box back up the put it back in the closet.

“Wow girls!” Kanani said, “Look how much we’ve done!” She gave Grace a high-five.

“Whew, that was hard work!” Sarah exclaimed, “I’m glad we’re done!”

“Done?” Isabelle repeated, “That was only Grace’s clothes! We still have to pack our own.”

Sarah’s mouth dropped.

“Well, we’d better get back to work!” Kanani said.
