Last Saturday Gabriel decided to work on a very special something for his friend Jess!!
The school prom is coming up and Gabriel is hoping to ask Jess to go with him. He just needs to make the perfect sign because he knows Jess has romanticized about this moment for quite some time.. I think Jess will say yes no matter how his sign turns out, don’t you? :)
Jess was out of the doll’s house that afternoon so Gabe went over to work on his project with Jess’s best friend Darica. Gabe was so nervous he was going to mess things up, he wanted some extra help!
Darica helped him sketch out some ideas on paper including some pun-ny sayings and cute designs. Gabriel decided to go with the hearts idea first and started cutting them out one by one.
Apparently that didn’t go so well! Poor Gabe..
“Come on, Gabe! It’s gonna turn out just fine!” Darica assured him.
Gabe let out a long sigh. “Maybe it’s time we go with your idea anyways.”
“Great!” Darica squealed, throwing away the paper remnants. “Let’s get out the paintbrushes!”
Once they got started with the paint, Gabe began to feel a lot more hopeful! He tried to keep a steady hand while painting the letters and crossed his fingers. Hopefully he wouldn’t misspell anything!
Peter Kavinsky was one of Jess’s fav movie characters from “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Gabe didn’t know for sure what or who Peter Kavinsky was but Darica assured him Jess would love it!
Darica sighed dreamily. “Jess is going to flip!! Gabe, you HAVE to film her reaction.”
The thought of asking Jess made Gabe’s stomach flip-flop but he knew it was gonna be worth it!
It looks like the sign turned out quite nicely!!
After they finished the sign, Gabe and Darica baked some cookies together for Jess and finalized the plan for the promposal! The plan is to do it on Valentine’s Day, but we’ll see! I can’t wait to hear how it goes. :D
