Isabelle sat in her wardrobe. A tear fell on her cheek. How could she forget? She knew would retire soon. Am I not good enough? she wondered.
“Meow!”
“Tutu!” Isabelle cried, “Come sit on my lap!”
Tutu hopped up. She wiggled around, waiting for Isabelle to scratch her chin.
Meanwhile, Jamie ran off the talk to Kanani.
“Jamie?” Kanani asked, “What’s going on?”
Jamie told her the whole story.
“Well, I’ll go talk to her,” Kanani said, leaving Jamie alone.
Kanani found Isabelle in the wardrobe.
“Hi,” she said.
“Hi,” Isabelle replied, “Come sit down.”
Kanani sat down my her sister. They were silent for a few minutes.
Then Kanani spoke.
“I heard you got pretty upset over Grace,” she started.
“Yes,” Isabelle admitted, “But why do they replace GOTY’s? Are they suddenly not good enough?”
Kanani giggled, “No. Isabelle, you are a Girl of the Year. Not a Girl of the Years!”
Isabelle sighed.
They sat in silence for a few minutes. Then Kanani tried again.
“It’s not that you’re not good enough,” Kanani said, “You are one of the best sisters I could every have.”
“Thanks,” Isabelle blushed.
“I’m so glad you came to our family. I’m glad to have a GOTY friend.” Kanani said. “And if you ever think about being replaced, think about how the new GOTY feels when she starts her year.”
“It was exciting for me,” Isabelle said. ” I think I get your point. I was being selfish. I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” Kanani replied.
“Hey, do you want to go out for ice cream?” Kanani suggested.
“That would be nice,” Isabelle agreed.
Then she paused and said,
“Just as soon as I find my shoes.”

I love this story! But, why was it called Isabelle’s last dance??
Well, Isabelle’s “reign” is over as GOTY, and she likes to dance. My mom helped me with the title.
So cute! We don’t have an Isabelle, won’t get a Grace but do have Saige (mine), Jess (my youngest’s) and Marisol (my oldest’s). None of them ever knew they were reigning GOTYs. ;)
I kind of made that up. ;)
Hi! I know Grace is already out, but I just wanted to say that while my Isabelle was a little upset at first, she’s now super happy with Grace! :) Saige helped her out by explaining how she felt when Isabelle replaced her. ;)
My Izzy felt really left out. But then I told her, “People are still talking about you, who could forget you?”
She felt better and now wants to meet Grace!
Izzy has no idea – I never let her near a computer. :P
Too sweet! My Isabelle thinks I’m going to get Grace @ AGP Boston, but I’m getting Rebecca instead. Shh don’t tell her…
I won’t. I love getting new dolls, I like that smell they have. I bet that sounds a little weird.

Me and my friend make AGSMS but on her notebook (computer) but we don’t post them… Isabelle didn’t like it at all! But she learns to love her ate the end of six episodes!! Isabelle’s mine and grace is Elizabeth’s… my friend
