Review: Wellie Wisher Camille

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing Camille for all to see… and read. ;) So let’s get started! Camille is a Wellie Wisher, so she stand only 14.5 inches, much smaller than the 18 inch dolls.

review

Camille has very detailed, gorgeous blue eyes and a unique freckle near her left eye. Her eyes don’t close, probably because these were targeted for a younger audience and they didn’t want silver eye to be an issue. :) Overall, her face has a very sweet and innocent look to it.

review-2

Her hair is a natural golden color and it’s very silky to the touch. I’m thankful her hair is wigged rather than rooted, as that would give me much less hair-styling options. She does have little hairs in the back to cover the wig cap, just like the big dolls. Her hairline at the top looks a little uneven, but it doesn’t bother me much.

review-3

Her head can move all the way around, but it is not held down by a string or zip-tie. It doesn’t have a wide range of movement, but with a little encouraging…

So her head can tilt, though only for a short while.

Her clothing consists of a ruffled blue tee, a layered skirt, fish Wellies and a starfish clip. (You may have noticed she’s not wearing the clip in these pictures… well, I just noticed it after taking all of the pictures and putting everything away… 😥 *facepalm*)

review-6

The shirt is super teensy and the small ruffles add to the cute factor. I love American Girl’s choice of colors in this outfit. It’s probably my favorite out of all the Wellie Wishers.

review-4

Her skirt is my favorite part of the outfit by far. It’s very detailed and pretty.  The bottom layer is just cloth and the top layer is the same glittery tulle as on the shirt, but let me warn you, it sheds. Not too bad though, but enough to leave a sparkle here and a sparkle there. 😅

review-5

The elastic holding up the skirt it a minty green and does not shed glitter. :) The bow is made from the same material as the bottom layer and is firmly attached. No matter how much Camille pulls on it. 😂😂😂

review-11

Her Wellies are supposed to resemble fish, but at first I mistook them for frogs. 😆😆 They’re made of a thick rubber. And I mean, really thick. It’s hard to take them off, even though there is a small line cut down to back for removing them from the doll.

review-12

Inside there’s a thin white lining. It’s not plastic, but it’s not cloth either. I have no idea if real Wellies have this or not, because I haven’t worn any. At least not recently. They’re also pretty heavy, and will keep your doll standing in mild wind for quite some time. 🙃

review-13

Camille’s hands aren’t super complicated, just a thin outline of a fingernail. Her arms can go forward, backwards and a little ways out.

review-14

Here she is with her hair down:

review-17

It’s very full and frames her face beautifully. Overall, Camille is a great doll, especially for younger girls. Her hair is probably the easiest of the Wellie Wishers to care for and she’s a very durable doll for rougher play, but I say she’s a great doll for anyone. :)

Camille hopes you enjoyed the review and are now thinking about buying some of her friends!

Because I will be there in the stores watching every one of you.

Now Camille, don’t be creepy… 😂😂 Hope you liked it!

  1. Aw, Camille is so cute! Will you be adding her to the Meet the Dolls page? I love your dolls, especially Jessica and Amaya. And, Camille? If I was standing next to you, I would be trembling in fear. JK, you’re adorable! How old is Camille? Also, Willa is my favorite WW, tied with Emerson. Then Camille 😄, Ashlynn, and finally Kendall.

  2. STOP MAKING ME WANT HER. No, just kidding, that was a great review. Now I really want one. Oh my gosh, I thought the fish were frogs too!
Camille your too cute to creep me out.lol

  3. Omg she is so cute!!! My favorite wellies are definitely Camille, Emerson, and Kendall….. so they will hopefully join my collection!!!

  4. Camille is so adorable! ;) She reminds me of someone I know… LOL. XD I love her outfit, and I didn’t know what was on her Wellies either until you mentioned fish. :P The WW have such cute faces! I hope to buy one someday, too. :) Great review, Catlover02!

  5. I don’t like them because they are hard . I saw them at toys r us. They probably made her solid hard plastic so she can go in the bathtub. But who wants to cuddle up at night with a rock hard plastic doll. I like cuddmy dolls. This is just not it

  6. My daughter bought Willa–who she calls Wisp–with her birthday money a month ago. Wisp is Ellie’s (MaryEllen’s) little sister, and they do look remarkably alike. She’s an adorable doll. The only problems we’ve had is the detailing on her ladybug boots was half scratched off after one day–and that wasn’t even hard play–and that there aren’t really any normal clothes for them, other than what they come in. There’s a pair of PJs, and the rest is all costumes. Which I understand, very young girls like them, but my daughter wants clothes for her doll, which means waiting or me making them. :P Still, the Wellie Wishers are adorable and a great addition to the line. Oh, and it would be nice if the eyes close, it’s a little creepy when Willa’s staring up into space or WATCHING YOU when the other dolls are in bed looking “asleep.”

  7. Love the welliewishers review-I like to say I’m an adult doll collected but really I’m one big child who loves cute things-and the Welliewishers line is definitely that-Camille is coming home with me and I’d love them all!
